In collaboration with the 20 Million Minds Foundation, IPO created the following outlines and presentations for teachers and educators to use to speak to various age groups about Intellectual Property.

Each unit below is offered as a turnkey lesson plan and presentation, but we encourage you to tailor the materials to your students’ needs.

Middle School

A 30 minute lesson on intellectual property intended for middle school students ages 13 – 15.

High School - 30 Min

A 30 minute lesson on intellectual property intended for high school students ages 15 – 18.

High School - 60 min

A more in-depth 60 minute lesson on intellectual property intended for high school students ages 15 – 18.

If you are a teacher wanting to help your students learn about the protections that exist for their ideas and inventions, we have someone for you.

The members of Intellectual Property Owners Association are IP attorneys who work for corporations and law firms​. Many are willing to volunteer their time to speak to your group about the basics of IP rights, for free!
